Blog Vlog
Blog Vlog is a beautiful, responsive and multi-purpose blogging theme for WordPress. This theme comes with a slider, promo section, copyright options, and social options. In addition, this theme has added the custom widget for a recent post, author and social menu. Use this awesome WordPress theme for your blog site..
Theme Installation
Via WordPress
Log in to the WordPress Administration Panels.
Go to the Appearance panel, then Themes.
Click Add New .
In Search themes… type ‘ Blog vlog ’.
When ‘saraswati-blog’ appears click Install button
After Installing the theme Click Activate button.
Via FTP
Use your FTP software to browse to wp-content/themes folder.
Extract saraswati-blog.zip and upload the folder.
Once it’s uploaded, go to your WordPress Admin, browse to Appearance > Themes .
Click the Activate link.
Dummy Data
Download Dummy data from here.
Go to Tools > Import > WordPress > Upload the XML file and click on Import
Note: Your existing data may be lost, so make sure before uploading the dummy data.
Adding Contents
Posts
To create post on your site, it’s easy. Follow the below listed methods.
Go to Administration Panels
Go to Posts and Click on Add New
Give the title of the post and add the content
Set the featured image for the post from right corner.
Set that post on the Category.
Click on Publish Button.
Add more post like the above methods.
Pages
To create page on your site, it’s easy. Follow the below listed methods.
Go to Administration Panels
Go to Page and Click on Add New
Give the title of the page and add the content
Set the featured image for the post from right corner.
Click on Publish Button.
Add more page like the above methods.
Categories
To create categories, follow the below steps.
Go to Administration Panels
Go to Posts > Categories
Give the title of the category
Click on Save
The added category will appeared on the Add Post Page.
Widgets
Blog Vlog comes with Added Custom Widget for Advertisement, Author.
You can use Blog Vlog Author widget for Advertisement also and Blog Vlog recent post on the sidebars.
You have custom widgets area for the different widgets to place on your theme.
Blog Vlog Author:
Add this available widget on any of the added widget area.
Widget Title: Title for the Widget
Descriptions: Add the descriptions for the Author or Ads. You can use Adsense Code here.
Image: Select the Image for Author or Ads Image.
Blog Vlog Recent Post:
This widget is useful to show the recent posts on the sidebar.
Advertisement:
If you want to put image advertisement on your sidebars, you can use Image Widget.
Check this blog post to know how to use Image Widget for advertisement.
Social Menu
Social Menu will appeared on Left Side top of the header(As in Demo).
Add the link for social Menu(Use Custom Link to create this menu)
In custom link, add link for Facebook Menu(www.facebook.com/username)
Add the menu and follow the same steps for twitter, Instagram.
Select the Social Menu for this.
If preview is fine, Click on Save & Publish to save the changes.
Site Title, Tagline & Logo
Go to Appearance > Customize > Site Identity
Click on Select Logo
Select the logo.
After logo selected, your site title and tagline will hide on front end.
If preview is fine, click on Save & Publish to save the changes.
Colors
Go to Appearance > Customize > Colors
Select the required color for the background.
Click on Save & Publish to save the changes.
Menus
This theme comes with two menu locations. Primary Menu, Top Header Menu and Social Menu
Primary Menu
This menu will appeared on Main menu for the site below the logo section.
Create a menu and add the items on the menu.
Set the menu on the Primary Menu.
Save the Menu
Top Header Menu
Top Header Menu will appeared on Top of the Header (As in Demo)
Create a menu and add the items on the menu.
Set the menu on the Top Header Menu.
Save the Menu
Social Menu
Social Menu will appeared on Right Side of the Logo(As in Demo)
Add the link for social Menu(Use Custom Link to create this menu)
In custom link, add link for Facebook Menu(www.facebook.com/username)
Add the menu and follow the same steps for twitter, Instagram.
Select the Social Menu for this.
If preview is fine, Click on Save & Publish to save the changes.
Theme Options
In this section, you will have various options to manage the site with the available options.
Go to Appearance > Customize > Blog Vlog Theme Options
You will get Header option, Blog Section Options, Copyright Text and Breadcrumb Option etc.
Check the every available options to manage your site.
If preview is fine, click on save and publish the changes.
Header Option:
If you want to hide Top Header Section you can use this option.
If you want to hide Top Header Menu you can use this option.
If you want to hide Top Header Social Menu you can use this option.
Click on Save & Publish button to save the changes.
Slider Section Options
Choose Category For slider
If you want to hide Slider Post Meta you can use this option.
Click on Save & Publish button to save the changes.
Blog Section Options
You can change the sidebar layout of of your site easily to Right, Left and No Sidebar.
You can change the button text.
Set Blog text limit.
Whole site pages will have this layout.
If preview is fine, click on Save & Publish to save the changes.
Single Post Options
If you want to Change the Related Text you can use this option.
If you want to hide Related Post you can use this option.
If you want to hide Realated Post Meta you can use this option.
Click on Save & Publish button to save the changes.
Breadcrumbs Section:
If you want to hide Breadcrumbs Section you can use this option.
Click on Save & Publish button to save the changes.
Sticky Sidebar Options
If you want to make the sidebar sticky, use this options.
Click on Save & Publish button to save the changes.
Footer Option
Write your own copyright text on your site.
Go to Appearance > Customize > theme options > footer options
Write your own text there.
Manage the Go to Top and widgets on footer also.
Click on Save & Publish to save the changes.
