Theme Installation
Via WordPress
- Log in to the WordPress Administration Panels.
- Go to the Appearance panel, then Themes.
- Click Add New.
- In Search themes… type ‘Blog On Pro’.
- When ‘blog-on-pro’ appears click the Install button
- After Installing the theme Click the Activate button.
Via FTP
- Use your FTP software to browse to the wp-content/themes folder.
- Extract Blog-on-pro.zip and upload the folder.
- Once it’s uploaded, go to your WordPress Admin, browse to Appearance > Themes.
- Click the Activate link.
You need to activate recommended plugins like Ample Theme Demo Importer after the theme is activated.
Dummy Data
- Download Dummy data from here
- Go to Tools > Import > WordPress > Upload the XML file and click on Import
Note: Your existing data may be lost, so make sure before uploading the dummy data.
Adding Contents
Posts
To create a post on your site, it’s easy. Follow the below-listed methods.
- Go to Administration Panels
- Go to Posts and Click on Add New
- Give the title of the post and add the content
- Set the featured image for the post from the right corner.
- Set that post on the Category.
- Click on Publish Button.
- Add more posts like the above methods.
Pages
To create a page on your site, it’s easy. Follow the below-listed methods.
- Go to Administration Panels
- Go to Page and Click on Add New
- Give the title of the page and add the content
- Set the featured image for the post from the right corner.
- Click on Publish Button.
- Add more pages like the above methods.
Categories
To create categories, follow the below steps.
- Go to Administration Panels
- Go to Posts > Categories
- Give the title of the category
- Click on Save
- The added category will appear on the Add Post Page.
Widgets
Blog On Pro comes with Added Custom Widget for Advertisement, Author. You can use the Blog On Author widget for Advertisement also and Blog On a recent post on the sidebars. You have a Blog On widgets area for the different widgets to place on your theme.
Blog On Author Widget
Add this available widget on any of the added widget areas.
- Widget Title: Title for the Widget
- Descriptions: Add the descriptions for the Author or Ads. You can use Adsense Code here.
- Image: Select the Image for Author or Ads Image.
Blog On Popular Post Widget
This widget is useful to show popular posts on the sidebar.
- Give a title – Popular Posts.
- You can increase or decrease the number of posts that you want to show.
Blog On Recent Post Widget
This widget is useful to show recent posts on the sidebar.
- Give a title – Recent Posts.
- You can increase or decrease the number of posts that you want to show.
Sidebar
Add widgets such as “Happy Blog Author”, “Happy Blog Popular Post”, “Happy Blog Recent Post” to the sidebar.
Footer1
Add the “Blog On Recent Post” widget to Footer1.
- You can give any title.
- You can increase or decrease the number of posts that you want to show.
- Check “Show Post Date” to display the published date of posts.
Footer2
Add the “Blog On Author” widget to Footer2.
- Add an image of the author.
- Give any title.
- Describe the author.
- Add social links.
Footer3
Add the “Blog On Popular Post” widget to Footer3.
- Give any title.
- You can increase or decrease the number of posts you want to show.
- Check “Show Post Date” to display the published date of posts.
Advertisement:
If you want to put an image advertisement on your sidebars, you can use the Image Widget.

Site Title, Tagline & Logo
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Site Identity
- Click on Select Logo
- Select the logo.
- After the logo is selected, your site title and tagline will hide on the front end.
- If the preview is fine, click on Save & Publish to save the changes.
Colors
You have a wide range of color options such as “Background Color”, “Primary Color”, “Top Header Background Color”, “Site Title Color”, “Site Title Hover Color”, “Site Tagline Color”, “Nav Bar Background Color”, “Menu Text Color”, “Menu Text Hover/Active Color”, “Heading Color H1-H6”, “Link Color”, “Link Hover Color”, “Continue Reading Background Color”, “Continue Reading Background Hover Color”, “Bottom Footer Text Color”, “Bottom Footer Background Color”, and “Slider Caption Background Color”.
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Colors
- Select the required color for different options that are available.
- Click on Save & Publish to save the changes.
Background Image
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Background Image
- Select an image of your choice and then Publish it.
Gutentor Options
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Gutentor Options
- There are further 3 options – General Options, Category Color, and Post Format Icon.
- In General Options, you can give the “Google Map API Key“, choose where to display Dynamic CSS (either Head or File), and you can also select the “Font Awesome Version” (either Font Awesome Version 4 or Font Awesome Version 5)
- In the Category Color option, you can set a different color for different categories.
- In the Post Format Icon option, you can set an icon according to your post format.
Menus
This theme comes with two menu locations. Primary Menu, Top Header Menu, and Social Menu. Primary Menu
- This menu will appear on the Main menu for the site below the logo section.
- Create a menu and add the items on the menu.
- Set the menu on the Primary Menu.
- Save the Menu
Top Header Menu
- Top Header Menu will appear on Top of the Header (As in Demo)
- Create a menu and add the items on the menu.
- Set the menu on the Top Header Menu.
- Save the Menu
Social Menu
- Social Menu will appear on the Right Side of the Logo(As in Demo)
- Add the link for the social Menu(Use Custom Link to create this menu)
- In the custom link, add the link for Facebook Menu(www.facebook.com/username)
- Add the menu and follow the same steps for Twitter, Instagram.
- Select the Social Menu for this.
- If the preview is fine, Click on Save & Publish to save the changes.
Blog On Theme Options
In this section, you will have various options to manage the site with the available options.
Header Option
- Go to Customize > Blog On Theme Options > Header Option
- Check “Enable Header Top Section”
- Check “Enable/Disable Top Header Menu
- Check “Enable/Disable Social Share in Header
Slider
- Go to Customize > Blog On Theme Options > Slider Section
- Select the category that you want to display on the slider section.
- You can select the Slider Type – Simple or Carousel.
- Check “Show Slider Post on Category Post” to display the slider posts on categories as well.
- Check the “Enable Slider Section” to enable the slider on your page.
- You can increase or decrease the number of slides.
- After completion of setting slider section as per your need click on Publish.
Blog Section Options
- You can change the sidebar layout of your site easily to Right, Left, and No Sidebar.
- You may check on “List View”
- Select the Blog Page Column – 1 column, 2 columns, 3 columns, or Masonry 2 Column.
- You can increase or decrease the excerpt length.
- You can change featured image options – Left Image, Right Image, Default, or Hide Image.
- You can check on uncheck “Meta Show/Hide Options” as per your need.
- You can change the “Continue Reading” text.
- The whole site page will have this layout.
- If the preview is fine, click on Save & Publish to save the changes.
Breadcrumb Options
- Go to Dashboard then go to Appearance > Customize > Theme Option > Breadcrumb Options
- You can either enable or disable it.
- If you want, you can also change the breadcrumb text.

Single Post Options
- Check “Featured Image Options to show the featured image on Single Post.
- Check “Show/Hide Single Post Meta”.
- You can change the Related Posts title.
- If you want to hide Related Post you can use this option.
- If you want to hide Related Post Meta you can use this option.
- You can increase or decrease the number of related posts.
- Click on Save & Publish button to save the changes.
Pagination Options
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Blog On Theme Options > Pagination Options
- Select Pagination Types for your site – Default or Numeric
- If you are done then click on Publish.
Color Reset Options
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Blog On Theme Options > Color Reset Options
- You can either “Reset All” or “Do Not Reset”
- Then click on Publish.
Footer Option
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Blog On Theme Options > Footer Option
- You can write your text in the “Copyright Text” box
- You can write your text in the “Powered By Text” box
- Check “Go To Top Option” to enable go to the top icon which you will see at the bottom of the page.
Sticky Sidebar Options
- If you want to make the sidebar sticky, use these options.
- Click on Save & Publish button to save the changes.
Typography Options
There is a wide range of typography options such as “Site Title Typography Options”, “Site Description Typography Options”, “Menu Typography Options”, “Paragraph Typography Options”, and “Heading Fonts Options”.
- Go to Appearance > Customize > Typography Options
- Make changes as per your necessity.
